South Carolina

 South Carolina is famous for a lot of things.  It played a big role in the Civil War.  It was the first state to secede from the Unites States.  It is known for its major industries like farming, tobacco, machinery, and tourism.  North Carolina also has a lot of beaches.  Its abbreviation is SC.  Its state capital is Columbia, which is also the largest city.  SouthCarolina was the eighth state to join the United States.  It became a state on May 23, 1788. South Carolina has a humid sub tropical climate.  In the summer South Carolina's temperature is usually around 90 degrees.  This is a state I would want to visit because it has a decent temperature all year round. 

New York

New York is located on the east coast well known as the New England States.  When people think of New York they most likely think of the Statue of Liberty.  The Statue of Liberty was given to the United States by the government of France.  It is located on Liberty Island in New York Harbor.  New York was the eleventh state of the United States.  It become a state on July 26, 1788.  The state capital is Albany, but it is not the largest city in New York.  New York City is the largest city in New York.  New York is known for a lot of industries, some of them are finance, communications, publishing, fashion, and farming. 

Oklahoma

Oklahoma was the fourty-sixth state in the United States.  It became a state on November 16th, 1907.  Oklahoma city is the state capital, and the largest city in Oklahoma.  Some of their major industries are farming, oil, and natural gas.  Oklahoma is known for having lots of tornadoes.  It is located in tornadoe alley.  When I think of Oklahoma i think of it as a cowboy state.  There really isn't too many facts about Oklahoma but this was a couple I found.

California

California was the thirty-first state and was admitted on September 9, 1850.  California's abbreviation is CA.  The state capital is Sacremento.  Some other major cities in California are Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco.  California is the third largest state with an area of 163,707 square miles.  Some major industries California is known for is agriculture, oil, mining, electronics, movie making, and tourism.  California is a state that i would really like to visit.  Hollywood is a place that i want to visit because i would hope to see some famous people.
