New Jersey

New Jersey is located on the far east coast of the United States.  It was the third state to become a part of the U.S.  It was admitted on December 18, 1787.  New Jersey's state capital is Trenton.  The largest city is Newark.  New Jersey is known for farming, insurance, and tourism.  Tomatoes are on of their  major crops.  My brother-in-law is from Newark, New Jersey and he said it is a scary place to live.  When he was in high school 10 years ago they had cops at all the doors at all times the whole day during school.  They also had to go through a metal detector before entering the school.  New Jersey is also the home state to the famous show Jersey Shore!  This is one of the best shows ever!
